LDSFT Monthly Temple Cleaning events
Uzhavarappani – planned for the year 2012

LDSFT plans Uzavarappani events of Vaishnavites temples in 2012. This will be scheduled on 3rd Sunday of every month. Iniitially, on Sunday, 15 January, 2012 the project will start at Sri Madhava Perumal Temple, Mylapore, Chennai. A total of 12 Vaishnava temples in Chennai and suburbs will be taken up. In addition to routine cleaning of floors, walls, Ceilings, Oil smeared places; Navagraha Sannadhis will be applied Sour curd, cleaned after one hour.
The Temple vessels, bells, brass arches, Puja items will be cleaned with Tamarind, followed by Pitambari Polish for brightness. Storage places will be cleaned free from cockroaches and other insects.
If a land space available, Tulsi plants will be planted in a bed that can be maintained by Temple authorities. Mr. Manickam will plant 4-5 tree plants in each temple for long term improvement. Each temple will be encouraged to conduct Hindu Dharma classes or lectures on every Sundays on 4000 Divyaprabandams and works of Alwars as part of Spititual Satsangh programme. These Satsangh events will be mainly concentrating on the temples main Deity and Vainava sampradhaya. If possible annadhanam for the people living around the temple and for visiting devotees will be arranged on a regular schedule. It is estimated a budget of Rs one lakh rupees for the 12 months of 2012 will be needed to be planned for expenses for transport, cleaning materials, and annadhanam.
LDSFT request Vaishnava mutts, individuals, industrialists, corporate donors of companies to sponsor in cash or kind to support these events. An excel sheet of Vaishanva temples in Chennai area is attached. Sponsors can recommend specific temples of their choice they want to support for cleaning. A list of temples with names and tentative dates of cleaning will be made in December, 2011. Devotees who desire to join on one Sunday in a month can contact undersigned for this noble work. LDSFT official receipts will be issued for the Tax-exempt Donations and all sponsored Funds contributed will be accounted and audited.

64th TC 27 March 2011
LDSFT has fixed their 64th month Temple cleaning on Sunday 27 March 2011 between 10 AM-1 PM at Thiru Venakata Subramanya Swamy Temple, Venkata Subramanya Nagar, Valasarawakkam [ Valasarawakkam Bus stop South, Ration Shop road, adjacent street of Nandinee Sweets..
Lunch will be served at 1 PM.
No transport being arranged. Members are requested to arrive at temple by 9.45 AM.
On arrival 108 lamps will be lighted and Archanai for members be held.
It is planned to clean Murugan temples on every 4th Sundays of each month in 2011.
